    1. NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES
    The Cranberry Area Chamber provides a number of both informal and organized networking opportunities. Networking events are planned to fit the varying needs of members and frequently include neighboring Chamber members, as well as our own members and guests.

    The Chamber now has two networking groups, called the Business Development Group, which meet Tuesdays at 4:00pm and Wednesdays at 8:00am to discuss current business issues, trade contacts, give referrals and often have visiting professionals who teach the members how to get the most out of networking events.     2. GROUP HEALTH CARE COVERAGE
    Cranberry Area Chamber offers members the opportunity to receive group healthcare insurance plans through Blue Cross/Blue Shield. These plans are offered through ChamberChoice and are designed to meet the needs of each individual business. For company rates, please contact Client Resources at 1-800-377-3539.

    3. MARKETING PROSPECTS
    The Cranberry Chamber publishes the Business Review, a monthly newsletter containing information that pertains to Chamber events, increasing business success, news and notes from current members, and an introduction of new members. The Business Review also offers a variety of cost effective advertising options. In addition, the website offers a list of our member businesses, and their contact information. We can also create a link to your company's website for additional exposure of your business.

    4. BUSINESS REFERRALS
    The Chamber Office receives calls daily seeking information about businesses in the area. We refer them to all members within a category listing or closely associated listing. All businesses are added to our referral list upon joining the membership.

    5. COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
    As a viable community organization, the Chamber is involved, and encourages its members to become involved, in the community and its organizations. Participation in Community Day, support of the Sample's One-Room Schoolhouse, assistance to the Family Resources Center and fundraising for the new YMCA are just a few of the Chamber's projects. Community events such as the Thorn Hill 5K Race, the Business Expo, and "A Taste of Cranberry" are annual events that lend the opportunity for the general public to become aware of our members and their services. In addition, the Chamber recognizes and provides support for members' community involvement.

    6. MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY
    Upon joining the Cranberry Chamber, each new member receives a Membership Directory. Published annually, the Directory is divided into three segments (Member Businesses, Chamber Representatives, and Products & Services) for easy access to information. A printed updated member list is available at any time with a 24-hour notice. The website also contains a current list of Chamber Members and contact information.

    7. MEMBER-TO-MEMBER DISCOUNTS
    Members are encouraged to invest in Chamber businesses or "buy Chamber" when shopping for products or services. A discount service guide is published yearly within the membership directory and consists of discounts made available to members from other members. There is no charge for the listing. Additional discount offers from new members are published in the Business Review. Discount forms are available in the orientation packet.

    8. EDUCATION & TRAINING
    The Chamber has partnered with Carlow University to offer members and their employees continuing education at a discounted rate from published tuition fees. Carlow offers a 32% discount on undergraduate and 21% discount on graduate courses. In addition, educational programs, seminars, and speakers are scheduled throughout the year, and members are apprised of discounts provided by fellow members and professional organizations.

    9. DIRECT MAILING & LABELS
    Members have the opportunity to use Chamber resources to save money on direct mail advertising. Members can utilize the Chamber's bulk mail permit to save postage costs. Membership lists for ease in mailing are available on disk for $60.00 or on labels for $40.00.

    10. BUSINESS COUNSELING
    In partnership with the Duquesne University's Small Business Development Center, the Chamber provides access to the expertise and resources that members need to address changes in their markets and/or business activity. Additionally, the Chamber can access a variety of resources through membership in the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business & Industry and the United States Chamber, providing information in response to member queries.
